Busch Gardens Adventures with Melvin

Melvin visited me last weekend (May 5, 2006 Saturday). We went to Virginia Beach and got lost on our way. We ended up seeing Norfolk State University. (kung papunta kayo ng Virginia Beach at nakita nyo ang Norfolk State Univ, I'm sure naligaw din kayo). We still managed to go to the beach and took some 'postcard-quality' photos.

On Sunday, we decided to go to Busch Gardens amusement park at Williamsburg, Virginia. Again, we got lost (surprise, surprise)...We deliberately ignored the 'Busch Gardens' signs on the street and followed the map that I printed. It turns out that the Bush Gardens-Williamsburg map I got from Mapquest is a residential area. That explains why we didn't see any roller coaster rides when we arrived on Capitol Landing road which is supposed to be the street where 'Busch Gardens' is located.

Seriously, if you want your trip to be very amusing, appoint someone with NO sense of direction (like me) to be the navigator. We are going to an amusement park and we ended up in a residential area?? (*applause) So Melvin decided to just follow the signs, we have a better chance of arriving at our destination that way.

At last, we arrived!!!! We finally saw the roller coaster! Although I really have no plans of riding it, it was such a great sight - a mark that proves we've survived the road challenge hehehehe. Next challenge, finding where the parking lot is (*sigh).

Welcome to Busch Gardens, Land of the Lost!

Flashback:

Takot ako sa roller coasters, super. Punta kami dati nina Alex, I-forgot-her-name and Jaypee sa Star City. Lahat sila gusto sumakay sa malaking bakal na kinakalawang na sasakyan na may riles na kinakalawang din (a.k.a. roller coaster). Ayoko talaga pero mapilit sila. So sige, sakay kami sa kalawang. Nung pagsakay ko talagang kabadong kabado ako! Tanong ako ng tanong kung bakit loose yung seatbelt. Yun pala magla-lock lang yun pag tumatakbo na ang kalawang (a.k.a. roller coaster) .

Katabi ko si I-forgot-her-name. Throughout the ride nakapikit lang ako at hindi kumikibo. As in, para siyang may kasamang estatwa. Lahat ng mga nakasakay may reaction, ako wala. May sumisigaw, tumatawa at nagtataas pa ng kamay nila. Ako, prim and proper, nakaupo lang at nakapikit. So habang nasa ride sigaw din sigaw si I-forgot-her-name dahil sa takot. Isinisigaw nya ang pangalan ko dahil sa takot na hinimatay na ako.

Pagkatapos ng ride, tatlong tao ang nakaalalay sakin dahil nanginginig ang tuhod ko. At gusto pa nila pumasok kami dun sa parang Egyptian haunted mansion. Mga buwiseetttt! So simula dun sa entrance, kumaripas ako ng takbo hanggang sa exit dahil yung lintsak na guide na may dala ng flashlight nanggugulat pa.
