Skydiving??!! AM I INSANE????!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!! I AM SO FREAKING OUT HERE!! WHAT HAVE I DONEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

<*breathe in, breathe out> Okay, I'm calm...I'm calm... Here's the story. During my first week here in Georgia, Jimboy and I agreed to do skydiving. That was sometime in July before my birthday. I figured, why not? Afterall, it's one of my bucket list. Besides, I'll be turning 27 so I might as well do something life-threatening, right?

Originally, we plan to do it during my birthday but since I'm still not emotionally prepared, I asked Jimboy if we could do it on the first week of August. He agreed. Today is July 31 and we are going to skydive NEXT WEEK!! HOLY CRAPPPPP!!!!!!!!

So anyway...I searched the net for a skydiving center here in Georgia and found one that looks like they've never have any casualties/deaths before so I decided to call them. I asked the girl a lot of stupid questions but I don't give a damn! Fck, I am scared shitless by just imagining myself jumping out of a plane! I even asked her if girls are required to wear tampons to which she laughed. I regretted asking her that. I inquired about the rates for Tandem Jumping and here's the details that I got:

Tandem Skydiving
weekends - $195 (without tax)
weekdays - $159 (without tax)
videos and photos - $90

Clothes to wear: denim/blue jeans, shirt and tennis shoes or rubber shoes

I called Jimboy and informed him and we decided to go for it. I made an appointment for August 6 (Friday) 12 noon. The total is $261.45 (Tandem Skydiving + Videos/Photos + Tax).

Now....I'm going C-R-A-Z-Y!!! GAHHHDD!!!! I can imagine myself lying unconscious in my own puddle of blood! Heaven help me!! What if I suddenly detached from my skydiving partner? What if the parachute won't open???!! FCKKKKKK!!!!!!! <*faints and dies>

Santa Celebrates 4th of July at Downtown Kennesaw

Miss Claire and I went to Downtown Kennesaw yesterday to see the fireworks in celebration of the 4th of July. I did not expect to see a LOT of people out there. They brought their own chairs and tables as they chill to the band's music while waiting for the fireworks show to start.

It turns out this is a historic place. I'm not sure if this is where The Chase took place involving the General (name of the Locomotive).

We found a good spot and sat by the wall looking at people as they come out of the tunnel. I bought a hamburger and some nachos to munch while waiting. I can't help but notice the 3 teenage guys playing around with a neon colored necklace which they use to 'catch' cute girls. Oh man, such a lame move.

We saw other interesting people like a guy who looks like a pirate slash biker guy with his silver and gold teeth and with all the blings. BUT, what's more surprising is that Santa sat near us! He waves to the kids as they go by. Good ol' Santa. He even gave me his calling card!

The fireworks display started around 9:30PM and ended around 10:05 PM. It was magnificent. After the show, Miss Claire and I went to Brusters to eat some Chocolate Raspberry ice cream. Yummmm!
